Once the wood is clamped into place, spread wood glue along the seal where the wood will need to connect at a joint. Spread the glue with your finger or a piece of card stock to ensure there is an even distribution and the glue won't cause warping while it cures. Follow the instructions for the glue about curing time, and then you can release the pipe clamps. If using more than one clamp, it is best to incrementally loosen pressure on each clamp as opposed to removing them one by one. If the curing process went smoothly and pressure was distributed correctly, the wood should be firmly connected.
The brand - There are numerous brands in the market and fact is that some names are trusted in the carpentry field than others. When choosing, settle on a reputable brand to enjoy good quality and durability.
A person once sold off all the articles of a workshop by advertising each article or tool separately. At the end of the first day, the person received a barrage of requests for the clamps. This goes to show how important the clamps are for woodworking and that these two go hand in hand and clamps are indispensable when it comes to woodworking. It is just that sometimes we fail to understand or realize the importance of these humble woodworking tools.
The clamp size - Woodwork projects are not the same and therefore have different requirements. The bench clamps are made in different sizes and it is important to consider the extent of the projects you get so that you can choose a clamp size that won't disappoint with both small and larger projects.
Your supplier - Only reputable tool suppliers will get you genuine high quality bench clamps. You can buy your clamps directly from manufacturers if possible or their outlets, but you can also find reliable, trustworthy dealers offering the tools at good quality. Whether you are buying the bench clamps online or from your local supplier, ensure that you can trust in the quality of the product you are buying.
