The clamp quality - The materials used in making your clamp will determine the quality and the functionality of the tool. The quality should be good enough to handle your needs and not face any damages if it is accidentally dropped on a surface. Consider the construction material of the clamp before buying.
A wise woodworker will always pick up extra clamps because these would always come in handy. They are available in various sizes and depending on your project or your needs you need to purchase the right size. It is amazing that something so useful is sold at inexpensive prices, so you should stock up on these if you are into woodworking. You can purchase these from tool auctions or you can visit your local store which sells woodworking tools and items.
Once the wood is clamped into place, spread wood glue along the seal where the wood will need to connect at a joint. Spread the glue with your finger or a piece of card stock to ensure there is an even distribution and the glue won't cause warping while it cures. Follow the instructions for the glue about curing time, and then you can release the pipe clamps. If using more than one clamp, it is best to incrementally loosen pressure on each clamp as opposed to removing them one by one. If the curing process went smoothly and pressure was distributed correctly, the wood should be firmly connected.
